Sarcheshme copper complex water master plan started its activity in 1382 with the aim of providing the water needed for phase 2 of the concentration development of Sarcheshme copper complex and put the management of water resources and waste accumulation on its agenda.

The comprehensive water plan pursues various goals in order to minimize the amount of fresh (compensatory) water consumption and complete the water recycling cycle by upgrading the water resources management system. Also, in this plan, the environmental effects are also studied and evaluated according to the latest international standards. In other words, the comprehensive water plan in line with the goal of increasing copper production of the National Copper Industries Company of Iran is responsible for providing water and waste accumulation for development projects and in accordance with international environmental standards, and with methods such as technoration and Tailings filtration and the construction of a tailings accumulation site (sediment dam) minimizes the amount of water consumed due to the increase in copper production.

With the formation of the Water Comprehensive Plan Unit, several measures have been taken, the most significant of which are the project of construction of pulp thickeners, upgrading of the main tailings dam, construction of a treatment plant, and construction of the dam of the Shore River in Sarcheshme. According to the mentioned measures and the works that have been done so far, copper company is currently in a favorable situation in terms of water and waste management, and the problem of water shortage or other problems related to water and waste management will never be an obstacle on the way. There has been no stable and continuous production of National Copper Company of Iran.

Performing project management services to complete the remaining works of the water master plan in Mes Sarcheshme, Derezaar, Shahrbabak and Daralu complexes and other projects under its supervision is the responsibility of Perman Powish Engineering and Management Services Company.
